    How was this done, did you use some sort of software to program the animation? (Edge Animate, Hype, Etc)

      This was done using only one SVG image. The shapes of the buildings and windows were grouped with names on them (...) so you can show/hide them using css transforms (in this case scale).

    This is nicely done. I totally want to make one that is randomized to procedurally generate a cityscape of unique buildings, though with some common regional vernacular elements.

      Thanks! The only things random on this animation are the order buildings start animating and their animation times.
