I was part of the beta for this. All I can say is it is fantastic.
Thanks, Nick! It's nice to see you sticking around past the beta, too.
Yes! I've been looking at quite a few options, and nothing comes close to the clarity and ease of use, even when Cushion was in early stages. And the timeline & budget views are so useful!
So Cushion is going to be my goto from now on, especially now that there's yearly billing. Thanks for making awesome software.
PS: I am still swooning over the Pencil by FiftyThree landing page, great work!
I've just spent 1 hour putting all my 2015 work on this app and I just love it!
I was also in the beta, and Cushion was by far the most helpful data vis for my work last year. It helped me see why I was so stressed, let go of my most scattered clients to focus on the best ones, and actually make space for side projects again. Yay Jonnie!
As a non-american, credit-cards aren't as common here as they are in 'Murica. Are you planning to ad paypal support?
In the meanwhile, I'd love to give this a swing, is there a way to do so without a credit card?
I particularly love the design of the site. It's beautiful how they are able to maintain such aesthetic appeal while combining all those colours.
Interesting journal about the development process, too. It’s always interesting to see case studies of thoughtfully designed, original visualisations in UIs, like this one:

Thanks for sharing. :-)
This is great! Does it integrate with FreeAgent?
Thanks, Aaron! FreeAgent is next on my list. The integration system is in place—I just need to fit it to work with FreeAgent's API.
Thats great news Jonnie! Fantastic work :D
Congrats Jonnie!
Digging the Expenses-page too. Remembering that from early Baremetrics days. More people should do that. And then someone would do it, just fake, and then it would all be lost. But it was good while it lasted. And you were there.
The only thing that struck my eye was the sign up form, specifically the password label, which reads "password help" and made me confused until I hovered over the "help" part.
Strange, Asko—it looks like the icons didn't load. I use symbolset.com and they turn words into icons, so they're still accessible. That "help" is supposed to be a question mark icon. I'll look into why it wouldn't load.
Have been tracking the progress of this app and it's looks very impressive. Can't wait to start using it.
Been in the Beta for a while and all I can say is FUCKING AMAZING.
I think the visualization part is great. In fact, I've already made more money this year than last year (probably cause of cushion!).
Also - the project blocks are a great way to organize your work / phases of a project to make sure you're staying on task.
NOTE: Project Blocks aren't super in depth, but I personally like that about them.
STRONG. Great work @jonnie!
My very first thought was "OK, but can it integrate with my Freshbooks account?" - then I scrolled down and BOOM. There it was.
Very nice! :)
I used this for a bit during the beta just to check it out is exactly what I needed when I was freelancing. I wish there was a tool that was similar for planning out projects instead of focusing on client services.
I use it for planning and tracking Cushion itself, so there are ways to make it not so client-focused. Project blocks go a long way for planning phases and workloads within a project. I'm working on a few other ideas, too.
I'd love to hear more about how you used it. If there is somewhere to be notified when you launch/test what you're working on I'd check that out too.
I loved what I saw, it just didn't feel like something that catered to what I needed.
Looks really good. Is there any chance, when my trial expires to end up auto subscribed, since I had to enter my credit card details?
Thanks, Ivan! Cushion doesn't auto-subscribe, so when your trial ends, you'll have the option to subscribe if you want, but no obligation. If you subscribe early, your trial won't start and your card won't be charged until your trial ends.
