Stop posting links from Designer Daily

It's the SEO spammiest, say-nothingest, recycled tripe ever and it annoys me that every few clicks on DN headlines I find myself taken there.

Can we add half of the stuff on Fast.Co?
You know, it wouldn't surprise me, frankly, if some publishers were submitting their own articles and — now that there's open enrollment — creating sockpuppets or having their employees login to upvote articles.
I saw Creative Market doing some of that here on DN. I don't mind people and publishers self-promoting and such, but at least in Creative Market's case, the content was Buzzfeed level (low) quality clickbait.
The DN guidelines already addresses that:
Inappropriate Content
- Using voting rings either among friends, within a company, or using dummy accounts.
- Using inflammatory, misleading, or click-bait headlines on otherwise acceptable content.
Unacceptable Content
- Spam
- List-format articles ("10 ways to...", "30 examples of...", etc.) that are largely advertorial in nature.
Totally agree. I hate that crap.
Creative Bloq is the worst
You had me at "recycled tripe".
Happy I'm not the only one that was annoyed by this.
Medium too, please.
Really? I typically love Medium content..
Well a custom icon might be good though
I find 4/5 Medium articles to be LOOK AT THIS THING YOU'VE KNOWN FOR 20 YEARS THAT I JUST LEARNED.
i ❤ this
Being posted on Medium doesn't indicate what kind of content it is. Articles on there have become in good part self-promotion, but the platform is not the criteria on which we can base such an assumption.
ah, i'm mostly kidding. I just use this plugin instead https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/hide-medium/fjfdkhihpiabibpdkddchbkmmbabhpaj
Couldn't agree more. Just called Webflow out for this not 2 weeks ago. Their response was that they post every blog post to Designer News so the community can discuss. While that's fair, I have to say why have a comments section on your blog to begin with then?
Can you guys do me a favour and email me when you see stuff that rubs you the wrong way? andrew@designernews.co
will do
Can we get a "Report Post" link on all articles/posts?
Did some comments get deleted from this? There were many more and now I am not seeing them.
not as far as i can tell
That's weird cause there was a whole convo about someone saying that "Why would anyone working at fb think they are changing the world" and then a Facebook designer offered to take them on a tour and the Joel responded that that person's tours are great....now all that is missing.
Either you or the OP you mentioned has/had the wrong post.

doh... #rookiemove
Agreed. The images in their articles always look awfully pixellated on my screen too.
...taken there.
DN redesigned but didn't add Edit for posts, it seems.
fixed.
thanks.
