I'm a Mac user and a huge fan of nvALT – purely because it works so well, syncs with anything on my iOS devices (currently Byword ) and Home/Work Macs – anything that uses Dropbox and a folder full of .txt files.

The beauty of my current system is that I name all my notes by using keywords, so if I really had to, I can search in the Finder to find my txt files.

Markdown is supported and I'm not stuck to any proprietary system (Evernote)..

My question is:

What can I use that's almost as good as nvALT on a PC?
