Ask DN: Exporting SVG's from Photoshop with inline CSS styles?

almost 8 years ago from , Lead Designer @ studiobravo.com.au

Currently when I export SVGs from Photoshop CC2015, the styles are included as an inline CSS stylesheet. Is it possible to have them as inline styles on each element?

Other than importing the SVGs into Illustrator and exporting them out again from there (since Illustrator gives you the proper css embed options), are there any methods for batch modifying the outputs from Photoshop?

Do they get class-names or are the styles attached to IDs? And, why do you want the styles inline?

What's your experience creating sprite-sheets in PS?

I think I need to brush up on my svg-creating apps.

Always used Illustrator until the viewport bug made me so angry I've not touched it in months!

I bought Sketch, but it's a learning curve and my AI keyboard shortcuts are too deeply set in my muscle memory. At least it exports properly.

Photoshop might be the way forward if class-names are attached to layers and groups.
