Love the copy, the stories, and the general feel. You have solid taste, and I love how you approached it differently than most people.

I think the work examples given don't match the quality of the portfolio itself, they seem to be thrown in as an afterthought. Also, the typography/spacing could use some tweaking. For example, the serif face used in the body doesn't read very well on non-retina screens at such a small size, I'd try bumping up the size or using one with more simplified glyphs.
