It's ten time more ownable, and fits their rebrand.

Moaning about the colour and saying it's going to make you use Apple Music instead lol.

I dunno, while its certainly intense, the new green is way more current. That old color is just so drab and dull, reminds me of the early 2000's. While I can't say I'm totally in love with such a bright green, I think everyone is going to get used to it pretty quick.

I can't believe I'm talking about colors like this, but I agree. The old green reminds me of downloading songs on filesharing programs like Limewire and Kazaa back in the early-2000s.

The shade of green is growing on me but I'm still not used to looking at the new iOS app logo – It may be the black surround that's bothering me...it just looks out of place.

Note on the choice of green: it's quite similar to the colour used by Kickstarter.

I think placing it on the black is killing it for me too, adds a level of cheapness that I just don't care for. On white, its reasonably fresh looking.

wow. this makes the old one look even better. terribly cold and blue-ish tones in the new one. sorry. great that apple's music is on its way.

I think the opposite. To me, it makes the new one look way better. And at first, when I saw the app update on my phone, I thought the new one was ugly. But after seeing the comparison, the new one is much better and better. It feels much more futuristic also. Like a neon almost. I like it a lot more now.

I like it a lot actually, but then, I'm a sucker for a nice, cold green. It feels incredibly much fresher than that old, tired (lime-puke) green.

Looking forward to see how it looks on desktop. I'm a little bit worried it's going to be a little too bright on so many UI elements.

I find it incredibly lazy of them to just pop the logo on a black background on iOS though. I don't know what to do instead, but I'm sure some genius designer could come up with something.

noticed this last night, hadn't realised that there was an update, and just thought my eyes were too tired looking at my screen.

I like the green when overlaid on a light background, but not when it is on a black background. Maybe their black needs to be toned down to suit or something, but it sure isn't sitting right.

I prefer the older color, but then I'm not into these candy-bright colors that seem indistinguishable as Mr. Donnelly's figure illustrates. The old color does look like a highlighter, but I don't have the associations with it that others here do.

How long before this new color seems old and passe'? Will a future iOS design change make the new Spotify logo look as quaint as iOS6 often does today?

I hate the new green color, to be honest. It just feels so cold and lifeless, the older green was a lot more inviting. This new green feels like a tryhard attempt at being trendy. Also, this new green clashes horribly with the Evernote, iMessage, and Phone icons that are near it on the homescreen.
