This is a great example of how to give a talk on design. No one can get caught up in personal taste during this talk, the key design goals are able to be communicated very clearly and in a fun way.

Did you see the website they made for the flag of San Francisco? If they truly valued design, they would have got a designer to get that site going for them.

That's the current SF flag…hence the call for a redesign.
TBH I think the site does everything it needs to. Yeah it's not exactly pretty, but that's likely a design choice to make the ugliness of the flag even more prominent.

I'm assuming Roman Mars took 30mins and set up a site on SquareSpace
