Let's see how they are going to price it...
Unless I'm mistaken, I'm sure I read a while back the plan is to make it a free app, that may have changed since.
I'd personally rather pay a small fee to help ensure its future and further development.
Problem is to do this monthly.
I asked the guys behind it and they said it will be offered for free and we're welcome to donate if we want to support it.
I feel like this is one of these ideas that's been around for a long time, but nobody has managed to actually get it done properly.
In fact the lack of good icon management solutions is one of the main factors that has led me to not using that many icons anymore (I just have 1-2 favorite sets that I tend to reuse).
So I hope they succeed!
I can see this being an essential for Sketch users.
I have so many AI, EPS and PSD icon sets that aren't broken down...wish there was an easy way to export them all. I also have a ton of individual icons in ai format for some reason. Seems extremely useful non the less.
Thanks for sharing the app, Jody. It's very much appreciated! :)
Great work on the app!
It's a fantastic app and idea thus far, but I have a few issues/suggests with it after using it for an hour:
- without shareable sets that update across several users, it will never be useful for teams
- dragging in a file of the exact same same as an existing icon in a set creates a duplicate icon in the set. Replacement or an option to replace would be ideal
Make sure you use their Feedback tool to suggest it :)
Thanks for your feedback! And indeed, as suggested, submitting it through our feedback form really helps us getting a grip on all the feedback we get :)
We're looking into the options for making a shareable set or library but for now we don't really have a ready made solution yet. sorry for that!
That second one sounds like a bug, and I'll ask Curtis to look into it :)
Been lucky enough to be playing with the private beta of this for a few weeks now, it's well worth the download. The interactions and animations are beautiful, and it's pretty amazing how responsive the whole app feels. Really filled a hole in my workflow.
This is awesome! Ability to make sub-folders would make it even more awesome :)
This shit is beautiful
Has anyone figured out how to export .AI packs with multiple icons to individual SVG files? There are a few scripts but they don't really work and all my icon packs are in single .AI files (meaning I can't use this yet).
If you could export this directly to a webfont... Oh dear.
This is the one you're looking for: http://iconicalapp.com/
it works only on osx 10.10. :( whyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?????????
10.10 is a free update.
This looks very promising. Can't wait to give it a try!
