So much layout re-calc on the side nav's animation - terrible for performance. Why not just use the standard drawer design as per the material spec?
Agreed, but why have a drawer at all? There's tons of horizontal space for it to be showing all the time.
Yeah the ideal solution would be to only hide the drawer on smaller viewports :/
Not digging the library artist covers. Why would you try and force a ubiquitously square design format into a circle? Most of mine have their names cut off.
Maybe I'm more used to the iTunes layout of olde, but I'm not a fan of how every streaming service displays artists as a grid of images. I either want to see as many artists as possible (to get inspiration for something to listen to) or quickly find the one I am looking for. Also, it looks a little unpolished when you scroll through the list and have to watch the images load (particularly on spotify mobile).
I'm sure I'll get used to it, but some parts feel unnecessary. Also the new Queue is stupid....think that needs to be a standalone tab not an annoying fly-out.
Wanted my credit card info before it'd let me use it.
Yike. This really feels like it's lacking Google's finesse. Like this.
Totally forgot I had uploaded my whole library 2 years ago. Thanks for reminding me :)
Me too! That was a pleasant surprise. I can finally listen to the Beatles online
I want to like it... but I don't know if I do. I suppose I'm too used to spotify now. The Material Design update looks great, but somehow feels weird.
The navigation seems off. I don't get "Listen Now" and "My Library" as separate entities and as the content on "Listen Now" as what should be obvious. Listen Now seems like a flow kicked off from My Library or maybe a complementary view to My Library. When I first landed on it, I just wanted to get to a list of my songs; needed orientation. Just my first reaction so far.
That looks strange.
f'n hamburger menu gets crazy.
