    Hi everyone,

We've launched a brand new landing page that actually tells you what Pendium is about. Karl and I are excited to be working on this product. Hoping to launch a private beta very soon :)

It looks good, especially the partnerships concept. I imagine you've already had someone mention this before, but in a seemingly flooded area (invoicing apps for freelancers, etc.), reasons as to what's different about your app compared to the others would be beneficial.

Thanks for your feedback Jesse. There isn't a really short way of explaining why Pendium is better than whats currently out there.

Many competitors that offer what we will be offering feel like they're aimed for agencies and companies rather than your typical freelancer. Since we're a small team (just Karl and I) we can work closely with users as we continue to develop and build out Pendium.

I can tell you from experience it's very, very dangerous if you can't explain in a couple of sentences what sets you apart as a startup in a saturated landscape like the invoicing business.

Your landing page looks great in terms of design, but when it comes to explaining what is different from other products that are much bigger and more established, it lacks information and usp's.

I can't see from your page what the product looks like. What is the great problem that people have that you are solving?

I'm going to take a risk and say this does look a bit like Stripe, in a good way!

It does have hints of their style, but I guess that might have been an inspiration? The page is very tasteful, clear and informative. The attention to detail is really good as well. Overall it really looks like someone carefully put this together.

The only thing I'd recommend changing is the # links on the edit and bin icons in the UI example. Clicking on them causes the page to snap to the top again, just remove the href and add cursor: pointer in the css. Then the scroll position doesn't get reset when silly users like me click them.

Stripe is definitely an inspiration for the design and overall creative direction of Pendium. We wanted to steer away from the overly flat design thats currently out there.

Thanks for the feedback David, will update the website to fix that minor issue. Appreciate your comment :)
