As a pianist I find this highly entertaining.

One part of me is excited that this could introduce the layman to classical pieces.

The other part of me is horrified at how much people will be able to butcher Moonlight Sonata by playing it at 320 bpm.

These pieces were meant to be experienced a certain way, and a real pianist will play a far more expressive, emotional, and beautiful rendition than this can ever hope to accomplish.

TL;DR this is like drinking a fine wine out of a sippy cup.

Touch Pianist is one of the latest implementations of an idea that's been around for a long time: technologically-assisted musical performance; here's an historical overview on the subject: The Conductor Program — computer-mediated musical performance (http://www.musanim.com/tapper/).

    Watching pieces is so calming…

A great demo-marketing site for the app. Trying it out got me to download the product and share it with everyone I know.
