Pretty cool. When I first clicked the link I thought Codekit had updated their domain. Nope! :x
Ha, to be honest, I was surprised this domain name hadn't been taken already.
The Code Kit is a side project I have been working on to keep up with the latest web design and front-end development resources. So far, I've cataloged popular tools, added a few cheat sheets for quick reference, and an up-to-date news page. I'll be adding more soon and would love to hear your feedback.
Looks really cool! Would love to see Netlify in the Web Hosting Section.
It's the most full-featured static hosting platform. Like Github Pages on steroids.
Have you considered adding Pixelmator or Acorn to the Image Editors sections? It'd be nice to have a "Vector Based Tool" section with Sketch, Illustrator and Affinity Designer too. Awesome work btw.
Absolutely, these are on my list to add soon. Thanks for the suggestion.
It just needs some anchor links for each section :)
Hi, David. Could you please explain this a little more? On the left-side nav, the links do anchor to each main section on the page. Are you talking about the sub-sections (i.e. Web Fonts, Icon Fonts, etc)?
I think he means the (for example) way that the headers on this page behave.
Is that right, David?
Ok, I see what you mean now. If that's what David was talking about, thanks for clearing that up and I'll definitely add this idea to my to-do list.
That's exactly what I mean, thanks @Daniel and thanks @Adrian!
Nice collection! Glad to see Lost Type on there. What would you think about adding Surge to the hosting section?
Thanks, Kenneth. Surge certainly looks interesting. Quick question: what's the business model behind the service?
We’re launching our paid tier very soon. :) https://surge.sh/help/why-is-surge-free
Good idea :) I'm adding another batch of links to The Code Kit tomorrow and will include Surge.
Hey Adrian, great collection with a nice ui. I think you'll find some of the http://panda.network sites matching to your concept. Like Panda, TheNews and DRT.fm.
Thanks, Ahmet. You guys have been an inspiration and have some really nice projects — The Stocks and Panda are a couple of my favorites.
Nice work. I hope my site (http://finda.photo/) is of some use too :)
Thanks, David. I have another round of links to add tomorrow and will include yours.
By the way, I think the "Browse by Source" on your site is broken (doesn't show any photos).
Oh yes… You're right. That's strange. I'll look into it — thanks!
This is a great collection, thanks for sharing. It would be cool to see a UX/testing section with some tools for gathering users, running tests, A/B testing, heat maps, all that jazz.
Thanks William, I appreciate the feedback. I will be regularly adding new updates and a UX/testing section is a great idea.
