    If someone would just show this to my fellow students in class their Github commits and readme's would at least look good and be easy to read.

    One of the things I love about markdown is that it takes zero time to learn and is accepted everywhere. But, I wish more platforms would help you through it. Reddit does a good, quick job, but their text box is just too small.

    Nicely done! I was just pitching a client the other day on using Markdown for a static site-based blog instead of WordPress, which is kind of overpowered for what they need. I'll be sending this Monday morning when I follow up!
