I'd at least spend 5 seconds adding a maximum width on your body content, despite your goal of bare to the bone simplicity and relying on no styling it's already hard to read a wall of text spanning the full width of the screen.

Yeah, it's a bit hard right now. I'm going to try and make some small updates over the next few days.

Know the feeling mate, I'm similar to you - family time most important, lot of running training and redesigning portfolio and blog a distant way down the list!

Cut to 1 year later when this site is still up in its exact state. At least this is what would happen to me :D

I think that's the reason why I posted the link. If I just kept it to myself I probably wouldn't be as motivated to follow through. Nothing like a little public shaming to keep you focused. :)

Neat Idea. You should document it as it grows. Could make for a great progress piece down the road.

I was actually considering keeping a branch of each release in GitHub and possibly giving each branch it's own URL.

I love this. Let the prose do the work!

In the same vein, I recently put together a list in Workflowy that acts as a CV / portfolio. It's a work in progress, but so far I like the simplicity and ease of updating:
