Is the fade-in taking an awkwardly long time to load for anyone else?
I find it interesting that they decided to skip the loading screen. Before the animation starts, the page has to load the Macbook Pro image. If the server is slow serving images, we're stuck with this empty blank page.
Funny how everyone finds a flaw 'interesting' when it involves Apple. :D
Take. My. Money.
It feels like this new Macbook is in the same position the Air was when it first came out: still a bit too impractical and expensive for today, but will be the perfect laptop once it goes through a few iterations.
awkward fit in the current lineup, though. seems like this will inevitably replace the air.
Soon Apple will only set 3 computers with very minimum variation.
On the page, I wish they wouldn't replay the animations as you scroll back up. On the machine, it looks like the glass doesn't go all the way to the bottom, but instead cuts off above the MacBook label. Looks like a bit of a design compromise; one that stands out on an otherwise gorgeous machine.
Am I the only one getting a delayed pageload with a poor scroll animation?
That top animation is super janky on my imac
Man that space grey...Will def be getting the next year's model.
The on-screen video in the 3D slider is quite impressive (http://www.apple.com/macbook/design/)
Interesting that they also using WebGL for the 3D (three.js). https://twitter.com/mrdoob/status/575056498621038592
LOVE the momentum on the scroll effect. I'm not sure I've seen that before. Really elegant implementation.
Is it me or is there motion blur when you scroll past these sections?
