PRO TIP: you can export your designs by typing .svg or .png at the end of the URL.

Thanks for pointing this out! I keep meaning to add a button somewhere :)

I really like the implementation of page transitions. In the age of realtime web apps this is increasingly more important.

Thanks, Yannik! I feel exactly the same way. They were actually more intricate at first, but I dialed back just before shipping. Hopefully they're more balanced now :)

I like the direction this is going. Especially the lack of UI and direct manipulation/creation. There are similar clever ideas in https://wireframe.cc

Thanks! Yeah they're great. I found them a little while ago, and I was impressed with their accessibility. I hope more tools start focusing on that.

Are there any videos of this being used?

That one is great! I'm actually trying to write something about the cool stuff people make. Would you mind if I used this in a blog post?

Not at all, it's yours :p

Thanks! I duplicated the doc so it doesn't get scribbled on between now and then. I'll most likely link to the original if I use it, so feel free to throw a link to your Twitter in the chat window :)

Wow really nice. Could you explain a bit about what the tech stack is to make it so fast/page switching etc?

So glad someone asked this! I won't bore you with too much detail, but we're essentially wrapping the outer website into the actual app itself.

The reason the main part of the app loads so quickly once you click the button, is because it's already loaded before you even hover on it. That drawing you see in the background when the page loads is an actual drawing being performed on the app's real canvas :)

Thank you, Simon! I actually added that near the end, so I'm glad it made at least one person happy :)

Very cool, what inspired you to make this and what are your plans moving forward? Curious how you think the product will evolve and where it fits in designers workflows

Thanks, and great question! My inspiration was essentially to scratch my own itch. Most prototyping tools I've used required too much attention when I just wanted to focus on my ideas. Many are also difficult to share; I've worked with a lot of remote developers in the past and showing them how to use my newest prototyping tool that week wasn't fun.

In terms of where it fits, I'd say anywhere. I use it now when I would normally reach for a pen. Layouts, flows, notes, I even use it to explain implementation details in development. My enthusiasm might be a bit bias though :)

As for how I think it will evolve, I'm still working on that. Every time I think I know where it's headed, someone finds a new use for it. So far I've seen math lessons, blueprints, meeting rooms, etc., etc.

Been liking the progression on this. Is that a custom Intercom css or a different app?

We actually built the chat ourselves. We've used intercom before and liked it but wanted something more immersive this time around. This allows users to chat with each other, and ping us if they need help in their doc. There's still a few kinks we're ironing out but we're happy with it so far!

Nice work. That'd be my only knock on Intercom is that it's hard to brand and not look stock. Other than that, pretty indispensable.

It took a lot of tweaking, but I really enjoy it now. Sometimes I try right clicking in Illustrator just out of habit :)

    Loving this. Really well executed.

It would be cool to add some art-boards to facilitate wireframes for specific devices.

Thanks for the feedback! That's a great idea. We're hoping to have pre-made components done soon. Once it is, drawing a specific device canvas and reproducing it will only take a second or two :)
