Cached version for those experiencing a '502 bad gateway' error.
Hello! I'm the creator of the above site. 502's should be fixed now. Had a myriad of issues from DNS propagation to abuse of the site.
Glad you like it!
Hi all! I'm the creator of the above site. Thanks for the share!
I have some ideas for some posts to write coming out of this project. Is there anything in particular you guys would like to know?
Very cool idea. Glad that the fold idea seems to be dying off (or at least becoming dynamic)
I am curious as to the setup the person with at least 4512 vertical pixels has.
Could be a big screen TV, 4k display, or a retina Imac, I suppose.
None of those would have that many vertical pixels actually, except for the retina iMac and it would have to be turned sideways
It was probably someone who has a standing desk with a retina display. Standing desks allow you to rotate the display sideways or all the way around.
That's the setup I have, and I rotate sideways when I need more vertical space.
Yeah, my math was faulty. I know a few designers who turn off their retina, but with the 27in 5k mac, it's only 4300px.
Could've been using a headless browser -- which lets you set any arbitrary viewport size you'd like.
So the fold is actually 155px?? Thanks!! Gonna design all my sites now to have everything in the top 155px :-)
Doesn't this prove the opposite point? All important content is above the fold.
That's awesome, will smash it in front of somebody as soon as the situation arises :)
I am the 502.
Bad gateway. Maybe the probem comes from hosting provider.
I was the fold?
Neato! But it'd be cool if it took device info as well(mobile phone, screen width, ect), maybe if you clicked upon it. I imagine anyone under 600 is from a tablet which would have been caught by mediaqueries to make a more comfortable fold for that device.
