Phil Pickering, over 8 years ago Sidebar is brilliant, esp. if you don't have time to keep on top of DN for a couple of days - makes sure you don't miss any crucial big stories, and there's always 1 or 2 links which no-one else has seemed to pick up!

I go to HN, but not PH.
I also go to EchoJS fairly frequently (though it's a lot slower than DN). Front-end Front is a new one that I have bookmarked and visit every few days. And I just found GitHunt two days ago, but I'm liking it. Provided it is active, I will visit it regularly.

/r/designforpeople is another subreddit that focuses on how design affects people's lives. It's small, but there's really great content and some good discussions on it.

It's like hn / dn without a specific theme. So you get to see a variety of good articles, etc. A lot of people relate it to "reddit in the old days". I mostly just like that it's a nice place with nice people.

The Chrome plugins "Muzli" or "Panda" are great work distractors, but also very cool to keep on top of things.
