Looking for a image compressor for OSX

Is there any OSX app that optimize image compression (jpeg/png) for the web like this website??? https://tinyjpg.com

Not sure about PNG's but ImageOptim isn't great for jpegs. I found jpeg mini to have a much higher compression.

For PNG, use ImageAlpha in combination with ImageOptim for crazy good compression.
For SVG, try out SVGO.

For the combo, I HIGHLY recommend ImageOptim CLI.
It gives you the best of both worlds, plus bulk handling through the command line.

seems a little expensive for an app that is essentially the front end of a free open source toolset. ImageOptim does just as good but at zero cost.
Agreed. I compared JPEGmini to ImageOptim and JPEGmini had much higher compression with jpegs.

JPG: jpegmini then ImageOptim
PNG: pngyu then ImageOptim

ImageOptim is fantastic for jpegs, +1!
They also make another app purposely for PNGs called ImageAlpha that allows you to adjust settings and get a real time preview. Having control mean you can adjust to get greatest quality for the smallest possible filesize. +2 for pngs!

I use a project called imageoptim-CLI, which takes your images, compares different combinations of optimizations, and selects the one with the greatest file savings. I have found that imageOptim does a fantastic job on its own, but in combination with another tool, the file savings can be quite significant.

ImageOptim is great but for PNGs I use TinyPNG. They have plugins for PS and Grunt too.

Not what you asked for, but SVGO is great for SVG compression. Super easy way to strip out all the Illustrator barnacles and get your SVGs down to <1K.
Miguel Solorio, over 8 years ago You can also you a task runner like Gulp or Grunt to automatically compress images from a directory and watch for changes, that's what I recently did. Works with both jpg, gif, and png.
