I'd add that those beautifully executed micro interactions only matter if they are an extension of a great overall direction and level of quality. the Segway also had a lot of smart design solutions. Just need to be careful to put effort in the right places.
Thanks Christoph! Yeah you're absolutely right, and that's something I've glossed over a bit. "Micro interactions" are absolutely no substitute to thorough research and an already tight UI/UX – they come after that. The trick is knowing when sweating the details is going to be worth the effort (not as often as designers would like to think).
Totally agree. Wasn't meant as criticism, just as an additional note on the topic. I love spending time on the small things, but find many times that big picture things need to get refined first.
Just tried out Prevue, it's very nicely done. Congrats to balancing a successful side project and a day job, that's a lot of work.
