Beautiful Site! The detail of your projects are wonderful. However, I was so mesmerized by your background that I didn't even realize you were able to navigate left or right.
That's super sexy and smooth!
absolutely beautiful. only gripe is that the swipe gestures feel really out place on desktop.
Clickdragging the screen left and right to navigate actually felt very very pleasant to me, I liked it a lot. I I dunno if I'm in the minority or not with that though.
i went to select text and it changed pages. did not enjoy.
This needs a sit-down warning before looking at it. Was not ready for the that next level ribbon.. So good! Well done! Beautiful!
Looks nice all in all. However this grabbing hand pointer got me really annoyed (https://developer.mozilla.org/@api/deki/files/3440/=grab.gif). It gave me the idea of being able to grab and scroll. After a while I understood that this was for "grabbing and scrolling" horizontally (i.e. swiping. Why on desktop?) but I couldn't grab and scroll vertically? My feeling was it got kinda contradictory.
Edit: saw someone pointed this out already. Nothing to see here...
Beautiful work but the grabber icon makes me think I can click my mouse and move up and down constantly, and i can't.
Question from a beginner; What tech is used to achive that effect when open. Simply CSS? Or it is javascript, or SVG? I think it's truly amazing, but I have not idea of how to achieve similar KIND OF effects? Such rich animation how are made?
Good stuff. Good case study contents. Slow scrolling, choppy effects on the 6Plus.
Added to the Scrolljacking Hall of Shame
I think the scrolljacking here was thoughtful and not annoying at all. The rest of the page scrolls fine.
If anything, this shows the beauty of using subtle scrolljacking, and the best use of it IMO.
The menu animation is great
Right on, great use of typography and negative space.
nice!
