A clever ad, for sure - but it's gotten a bit of criticism at home for not being exactly original.
Firstly, Visit Poland had used a similar concept earlier, using the Union Jack:

The agency, M&C Saatchi said they knew of the meme, but that it was "still a good idea". (I tend to agree.)
They weren't wrong, it is still a good idea - these ads aren't targeted at the 0.004% of people who know of the meme and I'm sure it'll be a successful campaign.
