Ask DN: How to show the threaded comments effectively?

over 7 years ago from , Product Designer at HackerEarth

I mean, is there any effective way to show the threaded comments by keeping the user experience? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I was working on windows 10 and there are so many problems occur when we are working on windows 10 and if you are facing any problem in windows 10 then you can go on this link https://fixforwindows.com/black-screen and fix your problem.

They are a lot like comments on a blog or forum, or on a web site You can have multiple comments, and also you can check https://luckynugget.casinosapproved.info/ to get cheap casino games easily. It has a nice article to read and they can help us.

It’s a shame this didn't get more engagement...

I’m working through this very problem now, after hours racking my brain on the database schema and controller logic.

Even though there's a lot of talk about flat vs threaded, I think it misses the mark. Threaded comments do indeed offer valuable context, it just can easily introduce friction.

This is an old issue, but I think subtle indentation combined with color is the best solution I’ve seen.

Just combine this with excellent typography, and I suspect it would be a hit.

    Another interesting recommendation...

Limit the depth of threaded comments, either:

    • Concealing comments after n levels
    • Blocking the user from nesting further after n levels

1-3 levels deep seems to be a sweet spot for people who favor this idea.

      Hi Julian,

Thanks for giving a thought on this, good part is that we are on the same side. I've already followed the same approach and it worked out well enough, have a look on the comment section of this page
