I'm curious what front end/back end software everyone is using. Do you keep it simple and use a handful, or do you use every framework/plugin know to man?
At LayerVault, we use:
- Rails for backends and APIs.
- Rails to generate and serve HTML in simpler applications, like Designer News.
- Ember for more complex applications, like LayerVault proper.
It all depends on what I am doing. I like having Rails on the backend whenever possible. It allows me to build things FAST and get a prototype or a feature out of the door asap. I'll use Node for smaller apps , where's the backend will only work as an API of some sort.
