The entire brand seems very out of place. One of the commenters on the original post put it nicely:

Compared to a lot of other Olympic bids (especially the international ones) totally agree with Armin on the lack of personality. Especially with not other proposed colorways. Blue for the Summer, yes Summer, Olympics just feels out of place and I would just get kinda bummed watching em.

The blue is terribly out of place. It would look better if they incorporated the different colors of the Olympics logo into the main icon somehow (maybe make each section of it a different color, like the Google Chrome logo in a way).

I can't really place my finger on why, but for some reason the video that went along with the logo left a lot to be desired. The random pause in the middle of the video (where the timer went off) had me pretty confused and expecting some huge entrance of the logo, but then it kept going (with a pretty dull entrance of the logo at a point later in the video).

It also didn't really place a whole lot of focus on why the Olympics should be held in Boston (other than the first 30 seconds of the video), which bothered me.

The intro (and partially the mark) remind me of Assassin's Creed for some reason.
