Btw, the creepiest thing in this new design: http://cl.ly/P6s9/image.png
Nah, I raise you this on the creepy scale, they look like wax figures: http://d.pr/i/cym6
They made their refurb and clearance items way harder to find (which is my favorite part of the store, naturally):
Looks very sloppy, the tabs are really ugly I counted 4 or 5 different call to action buttons which all had almost the same function. Could go on and on...
But what really bugs me is the Macbook Pro page : http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/shop_mac/family/macbook_pro
I see what you mean, there's a lot of information crammed into that one page. I prefer the overall design of it to the old Apple Store page, but it's got a long way to go before it's more efficient to use than the old one.
Fire the idiot who OK'd those tabs.
I see Apple is still using images for a lot of the text across the store. I wonder if embracing @font-face and paying Adobe (via typekit) for the use of Myriad is too bitter pill for Apple to take. ;)
The only time I visit the apple store site is to find an Apple product. I think the strategy here is getting you to spend some more on the side when you are buying one of the mac/iPhone/iPod. If I want to get a headphones on its own, I go somewhere else to find it.
So I'm not too worried about making the specific accessories harder to find. Still you'll think they do a better job on capitalising on making the sub categories more discoverable.
I think it looks alright.
Those tabs :( The frontpage looks okay though.
this is unusable.
Really? Unusable? Care to explain why?
