Some of those sketches in the vine were so rad. Really great thinking / creativity in those. I dug em'

    Wicked.

Really liked the detail on how you made the logo. Very interesting. I really like seeing all the circles making up the wolf head.

I think that without reading about this I'd struggle to pronouncing this as Grouper though, reads like Grupper. And at a small size the descender on the R is lost and it looks like a P.

Hey Thomas, appreciate your input! We made sure to include different variations based on size as well, so that the readability is not lost. We understand that 'Gruppr' might be confusing for a few English natives to pronounce properly at first, but in Europe it's more commonly recognized as 'Grouper', as we concluded from lots of asking around ;). We hope that as the Gruppr concept grows in recognition, people everywhere might become familiar with the proper pronounciation.

I love seeing this process, so I really appreciate it being documented and shown. I like the logo - I think it could be better, cleaner, but it is good. Slightly reminds me of the hook-up app Grindr, because it has a similar mask and name... so that's a worry.

Having said all that, I love the idea of Gruppr and want to sign up asap. Eeee!

Hey, thanks Katja, appreciate the input! We made a lot of conscious and unconscious decisions along the way - not all of which have been documented in the blogpost - before we arrived at our final logo. Having said that, we're going to keep optimizing it along the way, like so many startups do :)

The icon is pretty sweet. I get the concept of the bridge but the "U" treatment might confuse some people.

Thanks Taulant, we did a lot of testing in our circles before agreeing upon the final logo, and the majority read the logo as 'Gruppr', which was what lead to the final decision. We understand not everyone will read the logo the right way at first, but hopefully that will iron itself out over time :)
