Curious if anyone can share experiences working with Splash (http://splashthat.com) for clients?

A potential client wants to build their site around this platform, and I'm curious how designer/developer friendly their platform is? Can I use custom markup/styles?

Their site doesn't appear to have many (or any) developer focused resources, which is a little concerning.
