This hurts my eyes.
One thing I strongly agree with: We definitely need a way to search iOS Settings. There are a ton of them now.
I'm glad to be jailbroken.
Nice movie - though it got me going from "neat I want that" to "whooaaa - please noo" and back to "wow - that's smart!". Really gets your mind going.
Like for instance the option to change UI color reduces the usability a bunch. You made one issue show right in your demo. If you change the UI color to red - it's really hard to understand if an active switch is on or off as red often is equivalent to "false".
But as many others I love the settings-on-app idea and the search-in-settings.
I really like the pull down quick look for each app setting. This would save so many steps.
This is the reason why iOS is not open to customisation.
I just want a Notification Center option for turning off Cellular Data without having to jailbreak...
I thought there were some good ideas here. I'm not too sure about changing what some of the buttons do though. Knowing exactly how every home button behaves comes in really handy with troubleshooting.
Some great ideas in here I think Apple should consider: clear all, settings history and search, and siri spell.
Forgot about that! I agree, but that's on the assumption you'll be opening the exact same apps every time after you close them. For me, close all would be useful for times I know I'm not going to use all the apps I have open. eg I find myself opening a bunch of social apps at the same time while binge-consuming feeds, then closing all of them for the rest of the day while I get to work (then I open a bunch of todo list apps).
Yep, you beat me to it. Clear all will never happen.
I like the support app. It's crazy to me that the iPhone includes no help whatsoever anywhere. As soon as you want to go beyond opening an app, you're basically on your own.
"Clear All" - This video is worth it just for that. I also like the app switcher swipe down.
damn, how I miss it since I upgraded to iOS 8...
That on JB? I stopped JBin' after the PDF vulnerability install.
Yep, was on iOS 7. Not sure if Sentry is planning on making Auxo 3, but the hot bottom corners is simply the best multitask idea I've ever seen.
Doing that is actually worse for your battery life though. iOS manages background apps very well, but when you wipe them from memory they take a lot more power to boot up again negating any benefits from them being closed.
Thanks for all the feedback everyone! Unfortunately this isn't my video. Just thought to share this with the design community.
As noted by others, great new features that will benefit a lot of iOS users especially the search in iOS settings as others pointed out.
I can't wait to see what Apple engineering do to iOS 9.
