Hey Peter, Seth from Call-Em-All here.

We totally agree. Our little project we've been working through for our own uses blew up today and we've still got some work to do on it.

We are loving all the feedback though and are motivated to tackle as much as we can as fast as we can. Of course, we are excited to see what improvements and new components others can make too.

Am I the only person who thought the "active" click radius highlights were a bit weird?

    weird click highlights

Neat effect, but distracting enough to want to drop it for something a bit more subtle.

    I commend the effort, but:

    1. I wasn't able to tab through buttons (or if I was, there was no outline or :focus indicator
    2. Modals could not be tabbed through

Having said that, it looks like they're getting hammered with github issues from the hungry open-source-hounds that want to use this in their sites and things, so I'll back away and simply congratulate them for launching a project that clearly took significant effort.

Thank you Jason! We did get caught a little off guard, but please submit those issues as we really want to make sure this is a usable solution for as many as possible. And even if we can't get to it, someone else might be able to tackle it.

The React community looks to be very strong and hungry as you said, so we are excited to see what comes of this project.

But again, why on earth would I make my website look like Android?

Well, the same reason why people made their websites like iOS/Windows Phone, like Pixelmator (Apple's copycat website) or Poki, a nice Modern UI app. If you are making an app for Android L or a service using the Google's ecosystem, you can use this on your website, and make it consistent. Apple is not the only one guys, wake up!
