The built-in Plex app is what sold it for me. Probably my biggest gripe with Apple TV. While I can AirPlay Plex content from my iPhone to my Apple TV, paying $19 for the convenience and dedicated remote is easily worth it for me.

Bring it to Australia and i'll buy three right now, in my opinion, plex + a remote is exactly what the chromecast is missing

I love my Chromecast - seems like they are late to the game - unless it does something noteworthy. It is great that it has more memory, but to me a product like this either works or it doesn't. And another remote, dongle and power supply?

Streaming from my laptop is working great.

The Voice Remote seems like a good idea.

Not sure if this is available for Chromecast or other similar players but I would expect to see it soon on Apple TV. The problem with Siri is that most of us are too self-conscious to use the technology while we’re out and about in public. But where better to take advantage of voice recognition than in the privacy of the living room?

As tempting as it is at $19, I'll have to pass... figures that the two apps I use most (HBO GO and Rdio) aren't supported... :\

Apparently HBO Go is coming to the Fire TV box in December, and the stick "early next year."

Personally, I'll drop $19 on that promise.

Decided to get one. At $19 it's worth a shot.

Does this essentially replace Roku, for pennies on the dollar?
