My favorite so far.
How about this minimalist one:
Weird. I grew up in Everett. It's always had its own, super-80's logo.
I've been trying to track down how this survey has spread in the design community. It's been all over twitter.
This is a good example. It's tempting to pick one of the 'modern startup' logos in the bunch as they are 'well designed'. But look at their shelf life!
Better off with something simple like this:
Ahaha I grew up in the Skagit Valley, this is totally a trip to see.
I will pay 5000 of my own dollars to see the city try to implement one of crayon or colored pencil ones.
These ones are amazing
Haha, the top right one looks like a candy bar.
The city of Everett, a large-ish city neighboring Seattle, did a logo contest recently. The winner receives $5,000. They really should have just put that towards hiring a designer.
That being said, hopefully this gives you a good laugh.
They expect something good from a contest, then they expect people sift through 800 submissions and vote?
big fan of the ie vibe here
dunno how many of you guys got down to the bottom but
I live there!
Everett? I vote for E-Town.
RIP my monthly bandwidth.
I'm still not going to Everett.
This one isnt so bad actually
What the actual fuck? I scrolled for about 5 minutes and expected the logos to get better in quality, they just kept on getting worse, like being trapped in a nightmare you can not wake up from.
There were some decent ones down at the bottom, but still something I would expect from a free design contest.
Everett, where comes from.
Yeezus Hova Christ... The logos are so bad. Some of them funny, but poorly executed.
Something tells me there are some trolls in there.
What makes you say that?
No, that definitely looks like something someone would think is good and clever.
Well, Paul Rand did.
I'm just assuming Everett has something to do with planes. Just... a feeling.
And mountains. And there's a bridge. Over some water. Which has a ferry. And whales, at times. Also, there's an aircraft carrier for some reason.
Learned more about Everett than I ever cared to, just by scrolling through 800+ logo hopefuls.
