I'm not sure that I follow with the whole Corbusien aspect although the stark cleanliness is certainly there. It also looks like this was mostly influenced by Ello and Array.

Liste has an absence of complexity. The internals of Liste is free of anything abstaining you from using it or possibly confusing. Potentially eliminating top level questions like “How do I add an image?”, I hope that designing it in such a way will stimulate deeper level questions. Provoking someone to question something that isn’t even on the roadmap, meaning using Liste in a way that hasn’t been imagined yet.

Liste is free in the sense that it is open to your imagination. A blank canvas almost. In stripping it down to a nearly bare façade, all that is left is your tasks. Your ideas. The space is filled with everything that needs to be there, and anything that isn’t is removed. A side-effect to Liste visual design being as such, will hopefully make it timeless and snappier in the long run as well.

I also don't understand how this is any better than other list apps out there nor what makes it different. All I know is that you have a plan to monetize it as a web app and then make an iOS app. Why am I paying for a simple to do app? There are a ton of them out there that are simple and free. There are a ton out there with a lot of depth and cost money. There are some in between.

In my personal case, I find it relatively better for me, but I also know there are others that identify with my problems (as you have pointed out) and are willing to pay for such a tool. Oops, it seems I haven’t made clear exactly what I mean by it being a paid product. It will likely be a paid product because of the cost of storing high quality images and other file types we will support later on and also the various expenses that come along with building a product. A public, respectable, and quite similar example is Jonnie Hallman building Cushion.

What I am excited about is that you took this upon yourself to build and created a product that you really like. I don't identify with the problems that you described and find that most to-dos fulfill my needs and when they don't I prefer a full blown text editor or pen and paper. But that doesn't matter. If this is something you want to use and think is awesome, chances are someone else will too.
