This is getting a bit of hate from DN, but I can see how this would be immensely helpful. Sketching icons on paper and getting them into vector format is now as easy as drawing it and taking a picture. Same goes for using custom, hand-drawn fonts in designs.
Even for simply presenting concepts or sketches this would be great.
Though, to be fair, I'm only downloading the app now and haven't actually used it yet.
If this is locked into Creative Cloud. No thank you.
I can't see any way to export it? Do I have to go through Creative Cloud? I downloaded it, tried it once, understood what it did, then promptly deleted it.
It could be beneficial if it wasn't edge-detect only.
There also doesn't seem to be any way to deselect in the 'cleanup' mode.
Feels like a half-finished, half-idea.
I've tried it as well and it looks like you can only use the "scanned" SVG file inside of Creative Cloud Library.
Although there's Web / browser UI to view the end result, you can't directly "export" nor "save" the SVG from the browser.
You know, if they do that will mean giving away a product for free and lack of lock-in (with Creative Cloud)...
Adobe is really fighting back — as they should.
I thought this demo in particular was kind of disappointing.
A little bit like "look! I happen to have this random black and white book with solid shapes I can super easily transform into vector. Super convenient, huh?"
Nice try but I wouldn't expect to see this working in the real world.
Works not particularly well, in my opinion. It somehow gives everything an outline? Not the best for strokes and such.
Been playing with this since I downloaded it, makes everything a bit of fun. Nicely designed app interface as well.
