Photos on most of the mainstream stock photo websites seem so plastic and unnatural. Any ideas where to go?
+1 For stocksy. Reasonably priced and much higher quality than most other sites. For free stock try thestocks.im which is basically a list of the the best free stock sites.
Yup, I've used them for ages. Great photos!
i did not know about this one. looks great. definitely more natural and real (in that photography sorta way) than most stock sites i've seen.
I use Unsplash on an almost daily basis. All high quality and best of all free!
I just wish they would include more photos that escaped the abuse of vintage or washed out filters.
some good stuff in here www.offset.com
https://unsplash.com/ is one of the best. But as always, a lot of people know this and at the moment you can see pictures from Unsplash repeating from page to page, people overused it a bit.
www.imagebrief.com comes highly recommended. The content there is largely not seen before as it's uploaded from a global network of pro photographers who keep most of their work on offline hard-drives but upload on a buyers need by need basis. The images are very natural, fresh and of a high quality. The best thing is because you can describe what you want and add reference images like drawings etc, you usually get exactly what you asked for!
http://join.deathtothestockphoto.com/ is a good place.
I was spent two weeks to looking for naturally photos,
(Taken by phone, no filter and color adjust)
So i pickup my camera and make it myself.
I think all of the big stock photo sites should have a posed-to-candid score attached to each photo.
Lose a point for exaggerated expressions, lose a point for isolated background, etc.
+1 for TheStocks (free)
