Thanks Chris for posting this!
After many months of planning, a giant Google Doc, and a book written over a period of 6 months, I'm really excited to bring this project to life. Suffice to say that organizing all of this by myself wasn't an easy task. It required more than designing stuff on my computer; I had to work with a ton of feedback, know all the best flights, hotels, networks in each city, etc. But it's a project dear to my heart.
I am currently in a very unique situation which allows me to travel to any city (thanks to the success of the book) and help designers that are located outside SF. Many people have expressed the need to have great Designer meetups/workshops in their cities, which are often far from Sillicon Valley.
A lot of designers, like me, struggle with being unable to work in the US. So with this, I hope that I can bring some of my experience to them in person.
Please feel free to ask me any question! :)
This is awesome! Congrats and good luck! I love the book.
Thanks Eric, it means a lot to hear great feedback about the book!
Damn, I'm not in Paris this week-end, leaving tomorrow for the countryside, back on Monday...
I shared the workshop in various Parisian networks for designers, devs, etc.
Will you be at the Sketch Meetup? Hope to meet you there! :)
Thanks for the shoutout about the workshop!
I was too late to subscribe to the event and they have limited seating... The event is 8 min walk from my place so I'll try to come anyway in case there's some space left.
BlaBlaCar are very nice people, some of the founders went to the same school I did (ESSEC).
Btw, if they tell me the event is full, could you maybe pretend we're best buds ? :p
They freed some space for the Meetup. Definitely come and ping me when you're there.
We're best buds! Let's definitely hang out. :D
Great, I'll be there then!
See you tonight :)
Looking forward to the Toronto one!
Can't wait to go back to Toronto. Such a nice city!
