I took part in the last Bridge session. Happy to answer questions by email or phone if you want some more detail email@example.com.
It was a very worthwhile experience for me, highly recommended if you're wondering what's next. Really appreciated meeting other designers as well as hearing from great speakers.
Some highlights for me were Ben Barry talking about how design influenced culture at Facebook. Leila Takayama talking about design in terms of real world objects, robots and self driving cars, Tymn Armstrong giving details on illustration work at Dropbox. All really inspirational stuff as well as practical talks too on D3, illustration, team building and productivity ideas.
Hi Ed, you worked in which startup? And what are you working now?
If designers have questions about Bridge feel free to ask in the comments and we'll answer as best we can!
I also took part in Bridge (the 2nd session). Definitely one of the best experiences of my design career and I really got a lot out of it.
Among the speakers I had the honor of learning from were Erik Spiekermann, Julie Zhou, John Maeda, and Khoi Vinh.
I am actually living in LA now, so for any LA folks going to the meetup this Thursday, happy to answer any questions about Bridge in person.
I can't not read Bridge 4 without thinking of The Way of Kings.
Looks great for anyone willing to relocation. Any plans in the future to expand to other cities besides SF?
Kenny, not yet though we have discussed that option. SF/Bay Area has a very unique density of great startups and top designers that are a great environment for Bridge to thrive.
Thanks makes sense. Any chance the talks can be streamed online?
Also, looking at the application, the design roles are: Product Designer, Communication Designer, Design Manager, User Researcher, Illustrator, & UI Engineer.
How about UX designers?
