Show DN: Framer Site

5 years ago from , Founder & Designer at Framer

We’ve just launched a new site for Framer! Check it out on framerjs.com and let me know what you think.

Better information architecture, simpler top navigation and a wider layout were main goals for this version. But we also love riffing on the look and feel of the Framer brand.

I have no clue how to make the title link to the new site, so here it is: www.framerjs.com

I've always wanted to use Framer but I'm unsure on whether or not I have a valid use case for it. Can anyone discuss projects they've done using Framerjs/Framer?

Is it viable as an option for websites? For example, I'd like to do a product walkthrough on a web dashboard. Is Framer a good tool to get the job done?

Really clean new release guys, handy to have high-end examples just after one scroll :)

Ooh. Feels really different, but I dig it. Happy to see Carousel bouncing around! I remember checking out Framer for the first time at Dropbox.

    Looks nice and really clean.

Just FYI the light source on the iphone desk image is obscuring the text "Preview" on iOS.

    Beautiful.

Really dig how you did the customer logos toward the bottom. Great little detail :)

    Awesome redesign.

Excited that After Effects support is officially mentioned on main site and not just in the FB group!

When can we expect official info on AE integration into Framer?

Could you post a screenshot of the old site? I would love to see the differences between the two and look at the changes you made :)

Looks amazing, although I fell in love with the left navigation...

http://framerjs.com/learn/basics/ Navigation looks broken here, no active links / hovers?

Also, I am very confused by the title being above the navigation. I noticed only after my second visit and a couple of clicks. Before, it looked like the navigation title was not corresponding with the title on the direct right.

Nice, clean, beautiful colors, beautiful type (especially at the size of the first headline).

Although I usually say that these "kind" of websites need some distinction to other websites of the same "kind", in this case I think it's perfect.

However I still need an occasion to use Framer. Although I'd really love to use it, I don't design apps so there's no need. Hope that this changes anytime soon.
