I'm using Moom http://manytricks.com/moom/
I'm using BetterSnapTool and am quite satisfied with it. I only need it to drag windows to full-screen or half-screen size, so I'm not really a power-user.
Me too, but with keyboard shortcuts.
Anyone have any idea how they compare? I'm apt to stick with a product that's been out a while…
What shortcuts do you use?
I use control + option + command as my global modifier. I don't end up with too many conflicts that way.
So I add the left/right/up/down arrows to that combo modified to move a window to a given half of the screen. That's 99% of my usage.
(Sorry for the super-long delay – we had a baby!)
Any advantages over Divvy / Moom?
Hell yeee, spectacleee.
I do a lot of my design work in-browser, and spectacle's shortcuts (esp. ⌥⌘←/→) are super crucial to productivity in my workflow. Like style-injection/livereload important.
Ya'll should donate if you use it, btw. ($$$ or code/thoughts).
Another +1 for Spectacle. I use it all the time.
Whenever I set up a new machine, Spectacle is almost always one of the first apps I download – easy to setup, easy to configure, and a huge convenience add. I know there are others resources out there, like Divvy, but Spectacle was a bit cleaner and simpler IMO.
How does this compare to Hydra? https://github.com/mjolnir-io/mjolnir
A quick review leads me to believe Spectacle has less flexibility and customizability.
Not sure, since Hydra/Mjolnir seems to be taken down...?
I second the opinion.
Been a Spectacle user for a while. I highly recommend it.
