The design is 'nice' but I've got to say, there's nothing appetising at all to me about those sandwich and salad images. They don't exactly make me stop and go, "Damn that looks delicious".
Have to agree. Real pictures of food would get my mouth watering a lot faster and create an impulse buy for sure.
I understand what you guys are thinking. Can't say I disagree. But this was a decision we made from the start. We wanted to keep it nice and light, easy on the eye, easy overall really.
It's a small shop, located in the city centre, with a small reach, customers come by because they know it's located at that spot (and that it's delicious, a lot of people that live in Groningen know/heard the place/name) with mostly customers who are ordering on a regular basis, as a lunch - while they're having a break from work. A lot of those customers started to call, and asked if it could be made up-front/delivered - because they already knew what they wanted anyway.
Basically it's a solution for the people that are calling, they can now order it online. Without the phone call and the cash money problem.
We didn't want to exaggerate anything because it's just a sandwich - not a 4-angle product with zoom function.
Again, I understand it. It's just a decision we made :)
Woops, can someone add "Site Design:" ? Totally forgot to add it. Sorry! :)
