Just noticed that the notification globe icon looked different. Did some snooping and turns out they now show a different globe depending on which country you live in (they try to have your country/continent in the centre of the globe).
I saw this on littlebigdetails.com about a year ago. It's a very nice detail

They seem to be slowly pushing them out to users - I always get Facebook updates really late, and only just got this one yesterday.

Judging from comments here, this seems to be something that they're phasing in relatively slowly. I only just got it yesterday (I'm in the UK) and for some reason, I'm always really late to the party when they roll out any new changes at all :(
They updated it for Retina, finally!
