Show DN: I made a site to collect and share beautifully designed games on Amazon (updownleftright.co)

You should definitely build in navigation via the up down left and right arrows that toggle the hover state view for each grid item.
Heard this a few times now, going to look into it. Thanks!
Yeah, after a first glance I was sure that it's an explanation of the website navigation a logo.
Otherwise great job!
QUARTO!
Great idea, and nicely executed. I did expect to see video games before opening the site, based on the name, but that's not necessarily a problem. Do you intend to add those as well, or keep it to tabletop games?
I'll give this some thought, thanks!
Cards Against Humanity? Not only is it a terrible game, it's blander than a very bland thing.
As a gamer, it pains me to see CAH it in this list alongside Forbidden Island and Forbidden Desert, two beautiful and very well designed games.
I like the idea and the site design. I tend to disagree with almost all of your game choices.
snooty
Mind sharing the games you'd put on there?
Awesome! Thanks for sharing. I added all these to the queue.
Awesome to see you're just putting stuff out there, mr Sisson. Nice work!
Thanks man!
Awesome idea!
Just noticed that clicking on the VIEW ON AMAZON button here just loops back to the same page: http://www.updownleftright.co/games/carrom#
Fixed! Thanks for pointing that out.
Nerd Nitpick: I read the logo in CSS-speak: Top Right Bottom Left.
Threw me off. ;)
Ha that actually crossed my mind, but ended up going with this since it sounded better.
Was hoping for some konami code easter egg action a la https://github.com/snaptortoise/konami-js
Oh boy oh boy! Looking into this.
Not sure what it would exactly reveal; but would be a nifty little trick to have on a gaming-related site :D
Will noodle it!
Interesting idea, and nice beginning!
One thought: I would love if the photo didn't get covered when I moused over. It would be great to see the title and price just cover a portion on the top/bottom. Right now, I feel like I can't compare the price to the image since I can only see one at a time.
Great feedback, thanks!
I really don't see this as an issue since you use transparency nicely but I also don't fully agree with that article that went around last week. Perhaps try reducing the opacity even a bit more if you don't want to change it.
Slick work by the way.
Awesome game! And added!
Such an amazing game, haven't played it in years.
A much needed site. Bookmarking!
I will agree that the name feels more like a digital game collection, but so far definitely digging your choices in games!
Personal favorite: The Coup. Great little game.
Thanks Phil!
