hahaha we definitely were overloaded with traffic, which isn't the worst thing to happen to a company. We're working on it now and all should be back to 100% soon. You should be able to sign up and use it now though totally.

I don't know if it was because it was the first time I logged in, or because my browser was 1 version out of date (FF 30 not FF 31), but several of the features were broken for me when I signed up. I couldn't add a new book, and my Member Since date was January 1, 1970. There were probably a few other things as well that I just didn't notice.
Otherwise, I don't really get what I'm supposed to do. I add a document from Google Drive? Do I get actual design options, such as color, fonts, type-size, and so on? I'd like to use this service to build PDF/EPUB books for some clients, but I'd like to be able to actually make it look pretty. There's not really any information on the All page, and I can't see a way to get information. I scrolled down and saw the list of links (these should really be in the viewport when there's not much or nothing there), but none of them seemed like they would help me.
tl;dr: Cool idea, I'd like to use it, but am unsure if it will fit my needs, and I can't seem to find more information on the site.
Sorry for the hiccups you seem to have run into last night. Honestly, our servers were flooded with traffic and it caused the platform to go a bit wonky.
I also think once you're able to fully use the app you'll be able to see what you're capable of doing. Right now, you don't have full customization over the cover design in app, so any cover design must be done on your own, but that changes soon. Until then, for typography and page layout, you also can customize completely from Google Docs and the styling tools they provide (i.e. Their Header style tool next to the font selector).
Regarding the "list of links", what exactly are you referring to? And what information are you looking for exactly?

Hey Cat, thanks for the reply, and sorry for my own delayed one. You covered pretty much everything I wanted to know, though I may be emailing you in the future to try to learn a bit more about the platform. Regarding the list of links, I just meant the "Press, Team, Blog, Imprint", etc. links at the bottom of the page.
I was frustrated because I felt like there wasn't really an introduction to the capabilities of the platform--you're just sort of thrown in to it to figure it out yourself. It would be amazing if you could create a page that listed specific features of the platform and how to use it, as well as what you can do outside of the platform to affect the product that it produces (such as Google Docs tools you mentioned).

I can understand being frustrated when you're trying to figure out information and cannot find it. Was the first section of the site homepage not descriptive enough? I agree though, a specific page is a wise idea. We are already rethinking the homepage, so that could very well be something that is included in that.
Thanks a bunch for your feedback and I hope, despite not having the page, the onboarding tutorial/coachmarks and such provide insight as to what you should and can be doing on the platform.
If you mean the little tutorial when I first signed up, I felt that told me the absolute minimum about what the service is and how to use it.
You probably already know this, but there are tons of reasons why having only that tutorial wouldn't be sufficient--say someone signed up a year ago, and left after they first logged in. They come back now and have no idea what to do with it because they can't remember even the basics of what the tutorial taught them. I can think of at least two other cases off the top of my head where there would be a reason to try to find out how to use the service again--I can share if you would like.
So, I think the best thing to do is provide a way for the author to see the functionality, as described by you and your team, whenever they want to. This could be in the form of a page, as we discussed, or even through being able to trigger the initial tutorial any time (with more info in it, of course).

This product looks really amazing. I use Google Drive daily for business and I've been kicking around some tutorials and even a short novel idea for some time now... I guess it's time to get started! :)
Thanks so much for the compliment on Liberio. That really means a lot. You should definitely get started on it. One thing we made it a point to say in our blog post was:
“Liberio is for everyone. And everyone can use it whether it’s to create an eBook of blog posts, magazine, thesis paper, school project, or a culmination of recipes. A good book doesn’t need to be hundreds of pages, so long as the content delights. In our digital world, eBooks are so much more than what preconceived thoughts of a “book” have been for generations.”
So don't hesitate to put something small or big out. Doesn't matter. Looking forward to seeing what you create, publish and share!
