iTunes 12 Beta for Yosemite Beta
Would you use the same excuse for your own work?
I wouldn’t.
UI placement and spacing in the top bar within the window is quite bad. The icons such as repeat and shuffle are crammed in next to the album cover. Maybe it'll look better than looking at a screenshot.
I sure hope so... those library icons on the top left are not workin' for me at all. That's far too many sections to distinguish with icons alone.
I agree, it seems like it just takes way too much cognitive effort to get through those icons. I imagine that I'd just get around by remembering the relative location of things...
(;゚︵゚;)
Surely that must be a mistake! Looks terrible. I would’ve thought they would move the traffic lights to be vertically centred?
Or at least moved the transport buttons to not be near the traffic lights. Oh well. I guess it’s similar to iTunes 11.
Mmmmeh.
I beg for nice icons for iOS7. So get used to Ive's icons everywhere
oh, god, my eyes
They have the big fat grey toolbar and then underneath the thin main navigation strip with dinky little icons? Chuck out that big grey header, it’s holding the whole thing back!
I like how they have grouped by Music, TV Shows, Movies, etc and then inside that have choices for going between My Music and iTunes Store. But it’s executed badly, it feels unbalanced and confusing.
The centred area at the top where the currently played song shows – which has been around since iTunes launched – is only useful for audio. I remember playing a video a few times in iTunes and that area had the time scrubber active, and it felt so tacked on.
iTunes now covers audio, video, ebooks, apps. I’d look into making that the most prominent navigation at the top of the window, make the icons bigger, add text labels. If I’m in the Music section, then show me the traditional iTunes jukebox stuff with the now playing, play/rewind controls, volume slider.
icon diarrhoea yo.
Still looks confusing.
What on earth is going on with the icons in the top left?
