Am I the only one who doesn't want my phone to get bigger with each year?

I don't get it why designers spend so much time trying to conceptualize and design new ideas trying to impress Apple and their fan base. Apple would eventually utilize some expensive designer and get their next phone designed, they wouldn't really care about your design. I mean how many iphone "4/5/6" concept videos did we see in the last couple of years?

There are so many upcoming mobile companies (startups) out there that are really in need of good design concepts. Go and design for them. Apple can AFFORD good design skills. Other companies generally can't/don't, not all of them have an awesome inhouse design team (most of them are shitty).

For example - Check out the list of mobile companies that are aiming to make a breakthrough in just one country: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mobile_phone_companies_of_India

Go and create gorgeous renders for them.

I've been trying to figure out how big the iPhone 6 will be according to rumors and the closest thing I can think of is last years HTC One (M7). It has a 4.7" display and a pretty substantial forehead and chin.

Given that the iPhone 6 will be thinner and rounder and probably slightly narrower, it should make for good one handed use for most people.

Sources like the WSJ say there will be a 4.7 available in the Fall and a 5.5 available at a later date due to parts sourcing. The 5.5 is rumored to have optical image stabilization on the camera, with the 4.7 having software driven image stabilization like now. The reason is that the OSI costs like 5 bucks a unit... so it can only be put in a higher margin phone at first. We'll see what really comes out though.

Pumped for this design. I miss the shape of the iPhone 1, and the 5C is my second favorite. I guess sharper edges never really did it for me.

From all the rumors I've read, these seem to be the most accurate. I would love to see these renders with comparison shots with of the iPhone 5s.

These renderings make more sense than all the other renderings in the past that looked like rubber bands.
