Have only one DN thread on WWDC?

Would be great to have an _ etiquette_ on such events like WWDC. Maybe have only one thread where people can follow, rather have three pages with the same subject, where everyone posts the same story?

I don't agree with you, DN is more like a tree with a branch for each subject and I like that, even if it's closed subjects like iOS 8 and OS X 10.10.

The problem IMO is when you have twice the same link or subject, and it will happen today. I believe that a "Similar posts already posted" viewable when you're writing a new story would solve this problem.

Anyway, I know where I will be tonight: Twitter (to read designers thoughts) + live from The Verge (to read funny comments) + live from apple.com.

I agree with you Armand, was trying to resume in a few words. When you have more than once the same link/subject then you have fragmentation.

      Same here!

Yeah, a discussion for each subject I think is acceptable, and maybe also a general one for the event. It's fairly quiet right now but when the event kicks off I imagine a lot of the same links and discussions are going to be added.

I think a 'post group' / category would be a good post type addition to DN, or maybe even something like a live discussion (that's within DN and doesn't require Slack, IRC, etc) for events like this.

Nah. Post away. The mods will clean it up.

Definitely think this is a great use case for the DN Slack.
