Ask DN: Creative solutions for form error handling?

5 years ago from , Artist, Designer and Programmer

I generally just add an .error class for error state styling and to reveal an error message beneath the form input.

Pretty standard approach I think, but I was curious if anyone knew of any examples of fun, interesting or unique form error handling.

Best advice you will get is: do tests with real people. Measure the effectiveness of your forms as much as you can, deploy.

The creativity you're looking for may lead you to a total failure form.

I like how Plasso reveals errors.

Errors don't need to be creative. They need to be seen and understood by the user.
