I've had a few clients lately that have wanted to pay me through some awful payment services. So I'm curious, what is your preferred payment method, and what do your clients usually prefer?
In Dogecoin, of course.
- Receive check.
Bank transfer or Stripe. I hate dealing with checks, but getting some clients to come into the 21st century can be a hassle, so I still receive those (even after telling them we don't accept checks).
Wire transfer or some electronic service, like bill.com. Or check... but ya... checks...
(UK) Bank Transfer or Cheque. I don't think I'd ever use anything different.
Depending on the price 50% up front and then 50% on go live. Most clients are happy with this.
in money!! wheat & goats don't work for me.
Jokes aside, i use direct bank transfers for bigger projects and Paypal for small amounts. No stripe in India :( . Occasionally accept local checks.
Definitely Bank Transfer.
Intuit IPN every time.
Bank transfer. In the UK it's incredibly easy to set up a bank transfer with no fees, so I'd be surprised if a client suggested any other method.
Venmo actually works really well if they have it.
Only for really small projects. Right now you can only transfer $5k per week (it used to be $3k).
I'm from China, and I don't have many choice, the wire transfer is totally not available here, and the cheques usually take a century, so I could only use Paypal and Western Union
Paypal, it's free to send and receive.
Direct bank transfer (this is pretty normal in the UK) before the work begins.
I use to use PayPal, but not a fan anymore after a bunch of issues.
Now I prefer Intuit Payment Network - https://ipn.intuit.com/ - super easy, takes very minimal cut (something like $0.50 a transaction), and WAY WAY faster (only like a day).
Amazon payment for whenever I do freelance.
I use this. https://www.dwolla.com/fees
I mostly send out invoices and get paid directly to my bank account. For some local clients I use iZettle. And if everything else fails, PayPal.
Bank transfer. PayPal is possible as well, but than I'll add additional 5% for the transaction costs.
Wire transfer (I'm from Poland and most of my clients are from US) & PayPal.
