Field for a portfolio link on user pages?

I'd love to be able to quickly see DN member's work, rather than googling their name to track down personal sites.

Agreed. Hacker News lets you put links in your bio, why not here as well?

My guess is because layervault don't want this place to degenerate into name calling based on the perceived worth of someone's work.
It's happened on any design based forum I have seen to date.

      Slack still doesn't offer a User API and teams can't be open, so it's necessarily invite only.
